All students take a variety of assessments throughout the year

PSAT 10

– Date: March 20th, 2019
The PSAT 10 is designed to help prepare students for the SAT, college, and careers. All Grade 10 students will be taking this exam.

English Language Proficiency Assessments (ELPAC)

– Dates: April 9 – 12, 2019 and April 23, 2019
State law requires school districts to assess the English language development of all English Learners (ELs) and of new enrollees in California public schools who may be ELs in order to determine each student‘s level of English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The school will administer the annual summative ELPAC to students who have previously been identified as being English Learners to determine annual English language development progress until the EL student has been reclassified.

ACT Aspire

– Date: May 22nd, 2019
ACT Aspire assesses student readiness in English, math, reading, science, and writing. All Grade 9 students will be taking this exam. For more information please click here

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

– Dates: Spring 2019
State law required schools to administer the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) annually to all students in grade 9. The state-designated PFT is the FITNESSGRAM. It is a set of tests designed to evaluate health related fitness and to assist students in establishing lifetime habits of regular physical health.

NWEA School-Wide Assessment

– Dates: August, December, March and May
The school monitors student progress and identifies instructional strengths and areas to target for improvement. LAPCS employ multiple assessment tools. Diagnostic and interim assessments are administered through the NWEA (MAP) testing platform. The MAP Assessment measures growth between assessments.
