8:00 am – 3:30 pm ArtsMatter Professional Development Symposium Day 1 In 2022, California voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 28 to infuse close to a billion dollars annually into public schools to advance art education. In recognizing this incredible infusion of resources in California public schools, the LA Promise Fund, in partnership with a diverse & distinguished Host Committee, is working together to ensure that Los Angeles middle & high school educators are equipped with the information and resources needed to maximize this investment and ensure students receive robust arts instruction. The ArtsMatter Professional Development Symposium will include a celebratory reception followed by a multi-day conference that includes workshops spotlighting best practices, resources, and a network of arts programs being provided by area organizations, museums, universities, and other educational institutions. We invite educators to attend the inaugural ArtsMatter Professional Development Symposium on August 9th & 10th to connect with information and resources that will foster arts and creativity in Los Angeles area schools.
